KCM FAMILY DAY & AGM
Election of the New Kuching Campus Ministry (KCM) Committee June 2025–2026
Kota Padawan, 29 June 2025 – The Kuching Campus Ministry (KCM) successfully held its Annual General Meeting and Committee Election for the 2025–2026 term at the St. Lukas Centre, Kota Padawan. The event was attended by leaders and representatives from various campuses under the Archdiocese of Kuching, reflecting the collaborative spirit and commitment to campus ministry.
The program commenced with a praise and worship session, led by the outgoing KCM Committee of 2024–2025. This was followed by the meeting and election, presided over by Ms. Maria Amella, the Campus and Youth Minister of the Kuching Archdiocesan Youth Commission. In her address, Kak Maria emphasized the importance of faithful service, genuine leadership, and commitment to building communion among Catholic students across campuses.

Following the election, the program continued with a symbolic foot-washing ceremony, inspired by the passage from John 13:1–17. This act commemorates the humility and love shown by Jesus during the Last Supper. Kak Maria initiated the session by reading the Scripture, highlighting the meaning behind this gesture of service. Just before the Passover Festival, Jesus, knowing that His time had come to return to the Father, chose to wash the feet of His disciples—an act of humility, love, and leadership. As participants reflected on this, they were reminded of their call to serve one another selflessly in their roles as student leaders. The session concluded with a prayer and blessing for the newly elected committee, marking the beginning of a new term dedicated to faith, growth, and mission.
We pray that this ministry continues to grow and helps the young people, especially the campus students in getting closer to God and others.
